The vampire 'life' is an elite one. Even though the vampire population in Senza Vita is kept extremely secret, even from other kindred, there is social structure and politics involved. They work underground, through the council, each uniting as one force to manage local politics.

The classic horror genre type vampire is eccentric, seductive, suave and sophisticated.  This is not the case with all WoD based vampires, however the key kindred figures in Senza Vita have done well for themselves by being exactly those things.  They are well known and respected in the community, and the citizens brush off their antics and differences as being the eccentricities of the wealthy and foreign.

The kindred of Senza Vita are based in the dark catacombs underneath the  Anger Cathedral, where many of them live, safe from the sun and other potential dangers, and where the council holds its meetings.  The entrance to the catacombs is hidden inside the large Cathedral, and is well guarded.  Only those who have been invited there may enter.

The following are the rules for playing vampires at Carnival Of Souls:

Vampire Rules

  • No pregnant vampires
  • No vampires under the age of 18, unless approved by the council.  Even so, these may only be played in the catacombs.
  • No vampires under the 9th generation without special permission from the council.
  • If a vampire "happens" upon the kindred population of Senza Vita, and they wish to stay, or return and visit as a part of the kindred society, they will be required to present themselves to council, and obtain permission to stay, as well as pledge an oath of secrecy regarding the kindred of Senza Vita.  Remember, this is an underground gathering of kindred, therefore speaking about it to others will be seen as a threat, and a sign of disrespect from the council members, and may be dealt with very harshly.  In keeping with this, vampires must obtain permission from the council prior to bringing any friends or "family" members into the society there. (*note* this is for the roleplay setting only.   We do not anticipate turning any characters away, unless they are god characters or etc.)
  • Although Senza Vita does have a prince in ruling, it is run differently from other organizations, in that it is underground, and neither camarilla, or sabbat.  There is no clan in ruling here, merely a governing body made up of some of the prominent members of the races.   Therefore, this territory is not Elysium. However, any vampire that risks the haven by revealing what they are outside of the catacombs, may meet with swift and harsh punishment.  So, think twice before using any disciplines, or excessive strength, etc.
  • The word of the Council is final regarding all matters.
  • Once declared dead by the council, a character is dead, gone, kaput.  He or she may not return by some magick, or as a wraith, without extenuating circumstances approved by the council (ops).
