The Entry |
As you near the old gothic cathedral, you feel a strange sense of mystery, much like the thrill you had as a child when you told ghost stories under the covers, with your best friend on a stormy night. Grey stone, marble floors and pillars greet you as you enter, richly carved wooden tables with ancient sculptures and vases adorn the entrance area. Large brass candelabra's perch in their nooks along the walls, their guttering flames casting eirie shadows over the decor. A massive chandelier hangs, suspended from the
high vaulted ceiling just under the bridges of the expansive archways, casting it's own
flickering light over the sparse yet extravagant furnishings. Your footfalls echo quietly
in the hushed, spacious foyer of Anger Cathedral. Approaching the high arched double doors
a shadowed form floods your vision, gone again as you turn to face it, a mere trick of the
strange lighting. |
